These “sermon-based” Growth Groups will meet weekly to share, study God’s word, ask questions and support one another spiritually. We believe that the simplest and best tool for connecting people to one another and engaging them with the Bible for the long haul is home based study groups.

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith. Typically run over eleven weeks, each session looks at a different question that people can have about faith and is designed to create conversation. It’s just an open, informal and honest space to explore and discuss life’s big questions together.

Ladies of all ages come together periodically for a “Ladies Night Out”. Whether you’re a single lady, a career mom, a stay at home mom or a grandmother, this night provides you with a great opportunity to connect with others ladies. It’s an informal night of fun and fellowship focused on strengthening relationships between ladies inside and outside of our church.

“Guys Give Back” is primarily about giving back to our community. There are a number of non-profit organizations throughout our community that do tremendous work but often lack the needed resources. Guys Give Back serves the dual purpose of helping meet some of those needs as well as bringing men together for meaningful connection and relationship building. Typically our events involve food, sports, and giving back to the community.

Joy Fellowship is Elim’s ministry to seniors.  It typically takes place on the fourth Thursday of the month in our Fireside room.  It begins with a light lunch and is always followed by times of singing, sharing, laughter and fellowship.  It’s a great way for the elderly to connect and experience meaningful relationships.

Elim is delighted to partner with the sister churches of the Avalon and provides a wonderful hot meal each fifth Saturday evening at the Cornerstone Ministry Center located in the downtown of the city of St. John’s. Included in this ministry setting are times of worship a devotion and time for relationship building with the unchurched.
