Who We Are
Believing in God’s Word and Spirit
Elim Pentecostal Tabernacle is a church currently located at 565 Kenmount Road, St. John’s in our new church building which opened in April 2008. Elim traces its roots to the Pentecostal Revival that began in St. John’s nearly a century ago – on Easter Sunday, 1911. We welcome the ministry of the Spirit through the expression of worship, as well as the other gifts of the Holy Spirit. We hope that your fellowship with us is meaningful and uplifting.
We are part of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Newfoundland and Labrador – a fellowship of 120 churches throughout the province. Our sister fellowship, the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, is comprised of 1,000 churches. The Pentecostal denomination has flourished in this century – and now numbers half a billion around the world – who are filled with the Spirit of God, and who have become a major force in Christendom.
Our Faith
Hope Founded In Christ
Our faith is centered in the historic Christian doctrine. It is Biblically-based, and adheres to the great creeds of the Christian Church – such as the Apostles Creed.
Our Message
Molding believers, influencing the world
Our message reflects the Person and Work of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. As evangelical Christians, we believe in salvation – a personal and restorative relationship with God – based on the redemptive gospel and sacrifice of Christ.

Our Mission extends around the world, as we commit to world evangelism, sharing the Good News of the Gospel in other countries, and the financial support of our missionary families.
